Master of Business Administration (MBA) 4+1 Program<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The 4+1 Master of Business Administration (MBA) program will help undergraduate students obtain a strong foundation in the traditional areas of business administration, the interrelationships among the various functional business disciplines, and a broad exposure to the contemporary skills of management. Emphasis is on the development of skills necessary to manage in a critical, rational, and effective manner within the complex global environment. During the student\u2019s senior year in the undergraduate BS in Business Administration (BSBA), BA in Business Administration (BABA), BS in Economics (BS Econ) program<\/strong>, students will begin taking graduate MBA courses, which will count toward both degrees, thereby providing an accelerated path to completion.<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements to Apply to Participate in the 4+1 MBA Program:<\/h3>\n
    \n\t
  • Must be a current undergraduate BSBA, BABA, or BS Econ student with a 2.75 GPA.<\/li>\n\t
  • Must earn grades of C or better in each of the following courses:\n\t
      \n\t\t
    • ACCT\u00a0203<\/span> Financial and Managerial Accounting<\/span> or ACCT\u00a0201<\/span> Fundamentals of Accounting I<\/span> & ACCT\u00a0202<\/span> Fundamentals of Accounting II<\/span><\/li>\n\n\t\t
    • BUS\u00a0270<\/span> Statistics<\/span> or MGMT\u00a0388<\/span> Statistics<\/span><\/li>\n\n\t\t
    • BUS\u00a0330<\/span> Business Finance<\/span><\/li>\n\n\t\t
    • ECON\u00a0228<\/span> Economic Theories & Issues<\/span> or ECON\u00a0220<\/span> Economic Analysis I<\/span> & ECON\u00a0221<\/span> Economic Analysis II<\/span><\/li>\n\n\t<\/ul>\n\n\t<\/li>\n\n\t
    • Students must have completed a minimum of 88 semester hour by the end of the junior year.<\/li>\n\t
    • Students must complete the Application for Graduation for the bachelor's undergraduate degree prior to applying for the 4+1 MBA.<\/li>\n\t
    • Students must retain a 2.75 GPA overall and in the major in their senior year.<\/li>\n\t
    • Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA in MBA courses.<\/li>\n\t
    • A maximum of 15 semester hours of MBA courses may be taken in the senior year.\n\t
        \n\t<\/ul>\n\t<\/li>\n\t
      • Once accepted to the 4+1 MBA program, it is expected students will register in both the Fall and Spring semesters of their senior year.<\/li>\n\t
      • Students must follow the MBA program listed in the University catalog.<\/li>\n\t
      • No undergraduate courses may be used to satisfy MBA graduate level courses.<\/li>\n\t
      • Students may take remaining GE and major requirements concurrently during their senior year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

        How to Prepare to Meet Eligibility Requirements:<\/h3>\n
          \n\t
        • Students can meet with their Academic Advisor as early as the first semester of their freshman year to review both undergraduate BSBA\/BABA\/BS Econ curriculum and 4+1 MBA program requirements.<\/li>\n\t
        • Students interested in this program need to work closely with their Academic Advisor to develop a specific educational plan and must meet with their Academic Advisor each semester.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • MBA\u00a0430<\/span> Financial Management<\/span>\u00a0used to satisfy degree applicable elective units<\/li>\n\n\t
          • MBA\u00a0451<\/span> Seminar in Organization Theory & Behavior<\/span> used to satisfy MGMT\u00a0459<\/span> Organizational Behavior: Theory and Application<\/span><\/li>\n\n\t
          • MBA\u00a0460<\/span> Seminar in Marketing Management<\/span> used to satisfy BUS\u00a0461<\/span> Marketing Management<\/span><\/li>\n\n\t
