Olson and coauthor Debora\u00a0Jeske\u00a0<\/a>(School of Applied Psychology,\u00a0University College Cork, Cork,\u00a0Ireland) found that with flexible work arrangements having become the norm, new hires expect onboarding experiences that allow for a much greater degree of flexibility. Managers face the challenge of providing all new employees with a baseline level of quality onboarding while at the same time customizing the experience to fit the unique requirements of the individual and the role.
