Their schedule included a lively seminar on \u201cAI in Research\u201d led by Professors Amy Jiang and Liberty McCoy, a session on research methodology with Dr. Hongnai Zhang, and a deep dive into the details of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) process with senior analyst Billie Guerrero. While the students were immersed in these academic discussions, their family members explored 3D and VR activities at Wilson Library.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2973 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/business.laverne.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/11\/Hongnai-research-methods-1-e1732568271865.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"499\" srcset=\"https:\/\/business.laverne.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/11\/Hongnai-research-methods-1-e1732568271865.jpg 500w, https:\/\/business.laverne.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/11\/Hongnai-research-methods-1-e1732568271865-200x200.jpg 200w, https:\/\/business.laverne.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/11\/Hongnai-research-methods-1-e1732568271865-405x405.jpg 405w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The learning extended beyond seminars and classrooms. With Dr. Zhen Zhang, the group toured the Amazon fulfillment center, getting a behind-the-scenes look at their logistics. Later, they visited the Three Valleys Municipal Water District with Dr. Issam Ghazzawi, where they had a chance to talk with Chief Administrative Officer Kirk Howie.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2969 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/business.laverne.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/11\/Three-Valleys-Water-District-e1732568327474.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"499\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The visit wrapped up with a special dinner, where the visiting students connected with local DBA students, faculty, and college leaders.
