La Verne Integrated Business Program launches 14th cohort

The College of Business Integrated Business Program (IBP) is a unique interdisciplinary program that combines required upper-level business courses with founding and running a real business. The IBP provides students with practical business experience, a strong grounding in business principles, and immersion in civic and community engagement as foundational to sound business practice.
Since its inception in 2011, the IBP has
- raised $455,338 for local nonprofits
- brought in total revenues of $1,059,681.
- involved 141 student teams totaling 1,110 students
- contributed to 143 charities
Undergraduate business majors in the program take finance, management, marketing, and entrepreneurship in a four-class, semester-long block. This immersive program enables students to form a company, develop a product, create a business plan, secure a bank loan, and sell their product. All proceeds are donated to charities such as the American Cancer Society, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the University of La Verne Veterans Center.
