Alumna Julia Ruedas Honored as Woman of the Year

Julia Ruedas, MPA a graduate in the Master’s of Public Administration in 2018, has been selected as the 48th Assembly District’s 2022 Woman of the Year, in the category of public service. She currently sits on the board of the El Monte City School District’s Board of Education and has accepted this award virtually at the Woman of the Year Ceremony, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Ruedas has been named 2017’s “Latina to Watch” by Hispanas Organized for Political Equality, a nonprofit organization committed to ensuring political and economic parity for Latinas and 2017’s “Spirit of La Verne Award” by the University of La Verne for her exceptional community engagement.
