Dr. Ryan Lee’s Research Published in Journal of International Economics

Congratulations to University of La Verne College of Business professor Ryan Lee on his publication, How does import market power matter for trade agreements? in the Journal of International Economics.

Mostafa Beshkar (Indiana University) and Ryan Lee found that negotiated tariff binding rates are negatively associated with import market power; there is more tariff flexibility in products with lower import market power; and freeriding in negotiations doesn’t appear to have affected negotiated tariffs significantly.
