Adrian Velazquez Vazquez, PhD, associate professor and program chair for the Doctor of Public Administration program at University of La Verne, discusses the role of public officials and his favorite part about working with graduate students.

Find your calling, helping people through public service. Meet Professor Adrian Velazquez Vazquez, an avid public administration enthusiast with a passion for serving the public. After obtaining his law degree at home in Mexico, he began a career working with the governor of his home state. 

Now, within his classes, he believes that public administration at the graduate level offers the ability to apply each lesson directly to the students’ work environment. It provides an opportunity to help mend areas of uncertainty within the field and bring on a steady environment.
