Rob Barrett designated a Fulbright Specialist

Rob Barrett has been designated a Fulbright Specialist for the next three years. The Fulbright Specialist Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, sends U.S. academics and professionals to serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning, and related subjects at overseas institutions for a period of two to six weeks. Prof. Barrett hopes to complete at least two projects over the next three years.

“I hope my experiences with our diverse population at La Verne and my previous academic visits to China will enable me to contribute to an institution in another country and make me a better teacher when I return here,” says Prof. Barrett. “Fulbright Specialists are both ambassadors for the American way, and students learning what works in other countries.”
