Faculty research: Workplace justice vs. the bottom line

William Luse

Drs. Darryl Rice and William Luse from Miami University (Ohio) and the University of La Verne published a series of studies linking workplace justice to supervisors’ emphasis of profit over employee safety and well-being, otherwise known as supervisor bottom-line mentality. Workplace justice reduced supervisor bottom-line mentality when organizations emphasized ethical behavior. This research suggests that organizations can reduce bottom-line mentality–and the problems it can cause–by emphasizing workplace justice.

How organizational justice impacts supervisor bottom-line mentality? The role of the institutionalization of ethics was published in Current Psychology, DOI:10.1007/s12144-021-02605-7
