La Verne Enactus students run drive-through food pantry
In a partnership with Sowing Seeds for Life, 21 members of the University of La Verne Enactus team distributed food and sanitizing products to over 400 needy area families through a drive-through pantry on October 5.
Sowing Seeds for Life is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to provide food for the hungry, respond to emergencies for those in need, and to eliminate hunger in the Los Angeles and Inland Valley areas.
SSFL is a part of Feeding America, whose mission is “feeding America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engaging our country in the fight to end hunger in our local communities.”
Enactus is is an international nonprofit organization composed of students, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better, more sustainable world. The University of La Verne established Enactus on campus in 2006 under the leadership of Dr. Issam Ghazzawi.
